Updated: Aug 30, 2022
This blog post is part of my series, Civic Citizens Series on Governance. It aims to help Grey Highlands residents learn how local government works.
This blog series includes the following posts:
This blog post explores the public Agenda.
In the previous post we discussed the DRAFT Agenda.
Below is a visual reminder of the process this blog series is exploring.
Going Public
As per the Procedural By-Law, two days before the Council Meeting. the Agenda is made public. The entire Agenda package is available on the Grey Highlands website and it can be accessed by the public and the press.
PRO TIP: If there is an item on the Council Agenda you would like to speak to, now is the time to register for Open Forum. This is your opportunity to give your feedback directly to Council.
Once the Agenda is public, you can register for Open Forum to speak to an Agenda item. See my post, The Way you See it: Speaking at Open Forum.
If you cannot partake in Open Forum, you can also reach out to all or some of Council.
In the next post, At the Council Table: The Council Meeting, I explore what happens at the Council meeting.
