Qs FROM CONSTITUENTS: LAKE EUGENIA HEALTH - PUBLIC CONSULTATION
Updated: Sep 30, 2022
This blog post is part of my series on the 2022 Municipal Election called Questions from Constituents. In it I will answer questions from constituents and post them here, so that everyone can understand where I sit on a variety of issues.
These questions came from a long time cottage owner on Lake Eugenia who has concerns about the current and future health of Lake Eugenia.
It was recommend I check out helplakeeugenia.com, which I did.
The questions:
Would you support the introduction of mandatory Septic bed inspections and remediation for those septic systems that are not up to today's building code for all properties in and around Lake Eugenia? Yes/No and Why? https://www.daniellevaliquette.ca/post/questions-from-constituents-lake-eugenia-health
Would you support the restriction of all lawn enhancing fertilizers and pesticides for all properties on Lake Eugenia? Yes/No and Why? https://www.daniellevaliquette.ca/post/qs-from-constituents-lake-eugenia-health-restricting-fertilizers-and-pesticides-1
What ideas/actions will you take to stay connected to the Lake Residents and Cottagers ideas, recommendations and concerns? https://www.daniellevaliquette.ca/post/qs-from-constituents-lake-eugenia-health-public-consultation

In many ways, this is why I have decided to start blogging. I believe that we need to use as many avenues as possible to reach as many people as possible. I am hoping the blog evolves and grows to be one way my "door" is open to constituents.
One simple way I can, as your Mayor, stay in touch is by attending AGMs or reading the Minutes. Often, Lake Residents and Cottagers are in Grey Highlands on weekends outside of Monday to Friday / nine to five. I will return your emails, texts and phone calls as soon.

DID YOU KNOW? That Lake Eugenia is owned by Ontario Power Generation (OPG).
